Space Shuttle Enterprise at National Air & Space Museum

This weekend, my husband Eric, Curator of Aviation and Aircraft Maintenance for Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, and I, traveled to Chantilly, Virginia to photograph and take measurements of the Space Shuttle Enterprise which will soon be coming to the Intrepid.

What an awesome aircraft this is, regal, sleek and beautiful.  Here are a few of the photos I took of her on Monday morning which will be used by the teams who are preparing for her arrival. (Click on any photo to enlarge).
The view as you approach the Shuttle, in the early morning light before visitors arrive.

The view exiting the museum.
We left at just the right moment to catch sunlight at the tip of this graceful sculpture.

See more photos on FaceBook or under "Intrepid Events Gallery" at my newly designed Proof Positive Photography website.
