And a baby Sparrow being fed by a parent.
A few days ago, we had our second visit by a Northern Flicker, a male this time. We had a female here last Memorial Day but hadn't seen one since then. He has a bright red "Y" shaped marking on the back of his head. As he flew off, I saw the flash of his yellow tail feathers which are characteristic of the Eastern version of this species.
All photos taken with Nikon D300s and Nikkor 70-200mm VRII lens at 200mm and heavily cropped.

Hi Dude,
ReplyDeleteThe house sparrow is a bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. It is strongly associated with human habitations and can live in urban or rural settings. Though found in widely varied habitats and climates, it typically avoids extensive woodlands, grasslands and deserts away from human development. Thanks a lot.....
