When it comes to military ceremonies, the Intrepid is tops. Its always a pleasure to witness the unfurling of the 100' American flag on the Pier at the museum. Here are some of my images from the day where our Military was truly honored.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio throwing a ceremonial wreath into the Hudson River.
Mayor de Blasio gave the keynote address.
Panorama of the 100' American flag on the Pier.
Veterans and active military took a place at the hem of the entire border of the huge flag.
