Here is a lovely comment posted to Patch.com in response to my photos and captions:
"Going through these pictures, reading the subcaptions -- so many givers and so much love! Darren, my handsome superstar friend, there when you need him. The McElroy family, pillars of our community. The Savinos, I went to school with Steve. What they and the Pevny family experienced you can’t ever adequately describe with words. I do not know the Pevnys or Dave Wilson, but I do now, thanks to Patch. New Milford has so much hometown beauty to it. We’re lucky." -Michelle

Two-mile hike at the Fort Lee Recreation Center, followed by a screening of "Perils of Pauline", filmed at spots pointed out on the hike, along the Palisades.
Eric Nelsen led the hike, pointing out little-known stories about the construction of the George Washington Bridge and about the once-booming movie industry in Fort Lee. |
