Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Popeye and Katzenjammer Kids cartoonist Hy Eisman and his lovely wife, Florenz, as they made a presentation of artwork to Mayor John van Keuren. The art will be featured on shopping bags which will be distributed to Glen Rock residents the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This project was coordinated by the Glen Rock Environmental Commission.

| The artwork captions are .. "We don't do paper, we don't do plastic, we bring our own, hey that's fantastic! More and more Glen Rockers bring reusable bags to the store .. Its the green thing to do and Glen Rock loves green". The framed piece is signed from Mr. Eisman to Mayor van Keuren. |
