Astronauts from final Space Shuttle mission visit Intrepid

Today I had the honor of photographing the astronauts who piloted the final Space Shuttle mission. (Click on any photo to enlarge).
Visiting the Intrepid this afternoon were Space Shuttle Commander Christopher Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley, and Mission Specialists Sandra Magnus and Rex Walheim.  They completed a 13-day mission to the International Space Station in July, marking the end of NASA's 30-year-old shuttle program.
After showing a film about their mission to a packed audience at the Intrepid's Lutnick Theater, the astronauts answered questions, signed color photographs, and chatted with visitors.
The children were thrilled to meet the astronauts.

One of my photos was selected to illustrate an article on Space.com (click here). Also see my photos and the story on Intrepid's website.
