Shooting models ... the other kind

Today was a "model" day!  Shot 11 different ones, 9 ships and 2 airplanes, which will be auctioned off at a wonderful gala event next week.  Attending the gala will be General David Petraeus and Henry Kissinger.  Eric and I will be there, helping to auction one of the airplane models.  The Titanic model in the middle is 10' long!

MAY 16, 2010 - BIRDWATCHING AT GARRETT MOUNTAIN

A very early morning bird watch led by Brenda McIntyre.   Saw many colorful birds including types of migrating warblers (included Yellow, and Chestnut-Sided), a flock of Cedar Waxwings, a Baltimore Oriole, a pair of Rose Breasted Grosbeaks (male pictured above), a Wood Thrush, Red-Breasted Woodpecker, American Redstarts, Indigo Buntings, and a Scarlet Tanager.  Some of the birds look a bit fuzzy with my not-quite-strong-enough 200MM lens, but here are some nice memories of a beautiful morning. Click here for photos.
